Native glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase fromLeuconostoc mesenteroides. Catalyzes the conversion of glucose-6-phosphate to 6-phospho-gluconate. The enzyme can use either NAD or NADP⁺as an electron acceptor. Reaction velocity with NAD is approximately 1.8 times greater thant that with NADP⁺.
