性质描述: 白色易流动粉末。易溶于冷水和热水，水溶液的pH为6.5-8.5。不溶于有机溶剂。对热稳定。
生产方法: 碱纤维素是一种天然高分子，每一个纤维基环上含有三个羟基，最活泼羟基反应，生成羟乙基纤维素。将原料棉短绒或精制粕浆浸泡于30%的液碱中，半小时后取出压榨。压榨到含碱水例达1：2.8，进行粉碎。粉碎的碱纤维素投入反应釜中，密闭，抽真空，充氮，重复抽真空充氮将釜内空气置换尽。压入预冷的环氧乙烷液体，反应釜夹套通入冷却水，控制25℃左右反应2h，得羟乙基纤维素粗品。粗品用酒精洗耳恭听涤，加乙酸中和至pH4-6，再加乙二醛交联老化。然后用水洗涤，离心脱水，干燥，磨粉，得羟乙基纤维素。原料消耗(kg/t)棉短绒或低粕浆 730-780液碱(30%) 2400环氧乙烷 900酒精(95%) 4500醋酸 240乙二醛(40%) 100-300
用途: 作表面活性剂，胶体保护剂，氯乙烯、醋酸乙烯等乳液取合用的乳化稳定剂，以及乳胶的增粘剂、分散剂、分散稳定剂等。广泛应用于涂料、纤维、染色、造纸、化妆品、医药、农药等方面。在石油开采、机械行业也有许多用处。
