应用
It is used as a fluorinating agent, useful for conversion of hydrocarbons into fluorocarbons. It is used in organic synthesis as Lewis acid to prepare a number of organic compounds.
备注
Incompatible with water, strong reducing agents, strong bases, combustible organics, and organic matter. With water it produces hydrofluoric acid, and hence appropriate care is to taken while handling.
