性质描述:

白色叶状结晶。熔点160℃，紫外线可引起变色。

生产方法:

由苯酚与甲醛在酸性介质中反应而得。以强无机酸（如硫酸、盐酸）为催化剂的生产工艺有许多缺点，如设备易腐蚀，杂质多（如副反应生成氯甲基醚和氯甲基酚），分离困难。美国孟山都公司采用磷酸作催化剂，产品颜色好，产量高。最大优点是苯酚在磷酸中的溶解度低，有利于产品分离和催化剂的循环使用。甲醛的转化率为90%，4,4'-、2,4-2,2'-异构物之比为55：37：8。有机相经中和、过滤、蒸馏，得到产品双酚F 。

用途:

（1）环氧树脂以双酚F为原料的环氧树脂与以双酚A为原料的环氧树脂相比，有粘度低、作业性优良等特点，可应用于无溶剂型至超高固体份涂料，也可应用于衬里材料、地板材料、注型材料、浸渍材料、层压材料等领域。（2）聚碳酸酯树脂由双酚F与光气制成的聚碳酸酯树脂易溶于二氯甲烷等低沸点有机溶剂，软化点低，加工成型性好，即使在受到非常大的破坏时也用伸缩性，适于制造成型材料或薄膜等。（3）聚酯树脂双酚F与环氧烷加成制得的联苯型二醇，与二元酸等反应所制得的树脂，粘度低，机械性能和化学性能均优异，特别适宜于制造耐腐蚀材料。双酚F还可用于生产油溶性酚醛树脂、阻燃剂、抗氧剂和表面活性剂等。
