性质描述: 桔黄色透明液体。沸点216℃（0.133-0.267kpa），折光率1.535（26℃）。溶于乙醇，不溶于水。
生产方法: 将对甲苯磺酸加入辛醇和茴香醛、丙二酸、吡啶的混合物中，进行酯化反应后，中和、脱水、恒沸蒸馏，精制而得该品。
用途: 用于配制防晒霜（膏、乳、液）等护肤化妆品，能有效地吸收阳光中的紫外线，防止人体皮肤晒红、晒伤、晒墨，也是光感皮炎的治疗药物。在工业上可作为塑料、油墨的抗老剂和紫外线吸收剂。
