性质描述:

淡黄色针状结晶。熔点151℃（无水物）。易溶于水和醇。

生产方法:

由α-萘酚经磺化、硝化而得。将200g25%发烟硫酸慢慢加入50gα-萘酚中，搅拌溶解，在125℃反应1h。反应完成后，冷却，与500g碎冰混合，过滤。在滤液中加入120g相对密度为1.40的浓硝酸，在50℃下加热1.5h。反应物在室温下放置12h，过滤，用稀盐酸重结晶，干燥即得成品。

用途:

用作有机合成中间体、有机碱类沉淀剂、氨基酸试剂。该品能与50多种金属离子作用，但在酸性溶液中仅与锆、铅产生沉淀，用来测定锆具有选择性强、灵敏度高等优点。
